So, saava asked: "What do you suggest we do to make a difference in people's attitudes?"

Which is a very important question.

What can one person do?

This is a start. Though only a start.

You beat me to it.

I was going to suggest some kind of t-shirt with a catchy slogan. *grin*

I think, though, that my first step will be to stop calling myself fat every time a pair of pants is tight.

Do you mind if I take this idea and expand on it?

See, I had all this time at work to think and I formed a plan.

Step One
I was thinking (and don't think I don't like your saying, but I dunno, I'd feel kinda uncomfortable wearing it, being that no one has ever called me fat) we could have t-shirts that said, on the front:

Beauty: Now available in sizes S-XXXL (or something similar)

And on the back:

Try it on, it fits perfectly! (and then, like, a picture of lots of diverse and smiley girls. I may commission my friend Meg to draw this, since I can't even draw a stick figure.)

Step two
We get people to buy them. Lots of people. Not to make a profit of course. We pimp it all over LJ.

Step Three
We write letters. Send them to all sorts of people. Celebrities, magazines, etc. And we also send some famous people t-shirts. Cause hey, if even ONE person in the public eye wore one...

So, lame, or good?

Ooo! I like that!

Very good! Very much of the good!

And much more positive. 'Cause I wrote the one that I wrote in, like, five seconds, so.

But yes. Getting on AIM now, BuffyInMotion.

As for the back, I'm thinking a simple: "Always a perfect fit." with the drawings, etc.

For some reason, the link isn't working for me. Do you know what the problem is?

But, did you see the size description for the babydoll shirt? Some of us aren't going to be able to wear that! ::cries::

I'm going to add more shirt types. That's mostly up as a placeholder until we get the image for the back of the shirt.
