So, I've been a Buffy/Xander 'shipper for six years now.

There have been a couple of periods when other people have said, "Huh. I could see that happening."

Season one. Season Three, apparently. I Was Made To Love You, Season Five.

And now.

People who have never been B/X fans are saying that, even though they're not sure how they feel about it, they think that the show's been going that way.

Well, for me, the show's always been going that way.

I've always wanted B/X to be in the final season. For them to be the couple that the show ends with.

For it to be special.

I've been waiting six years, Joss. Don't let me down.

I don't know. I don't think I've ever seen B/X as happening, except maybe in the very beginning when he was crushing on her so much... I guess B/X would be better than B/S, though. I'm still holding out hope for a B/G 'ship (prob. never going to happen) myself.

I don't know where Buffy is going anymore. Personally I have not held this season in the same regard as past ones, with seasons 2 and 3 being the best ones. And for a while I liked B/S, since they seemed to fit each other so well. But lately I've been a unconventional shipper, liking W/X (which I really see as my OTP) and S/W which just mutates into W/X/S, feeding my little slash obsession... I'm a very bad girl. Very bad.

I've been waiting six years, Joss. Don't let me down.

Oh but he's let us down SO many times before. {insert sarcasm here] And he LIKES it dang it! I remember him commenting somewhere that he likes to give the audience what they think they want, but then takes it away just as quickly. So I wouldn't hold your breath for that B/X girl.
