My favorite part was the end, when Lex proposes to Helen while a romantic song plays.
Wait. Strike that.
While Don't Fear the Reaper plays.
Um...
I'm thrilled to see that Clark finally got to snap a little. He'd been wound tighter than ever since Rosetta. And he didn't really hurt the guy, so I don't blame him for anything. The Clark storyline continues to make complete sense.
Did Pete even show up this week? Oh, there was that scene where he and Chloe dissed the police.
Lex was... interesting. Last week, he showed us (and Helen) exactly how obsessive he can get, so I'm not shocked that Helen suspected him for the beating. And he really seems to have turned Helen into his proxy Clark. Saving lives, saving him.
But man, I need to go watch the end scene again.
"Don't fear the reaper... Baby, take my hand. Don't fear the reaper... We'll be able to fly. Don't fear the reaper... Baby, I'm your man."

Bwahahahahahaha!!!!!!! I was wondering if anyone else would catch that! I was like, "Um, that's an interesting choice." Acoustic guitar licks and a soft, low voice do not a romantic song make. Lyrics, people, listen to the lyrics before you pick a song.
