It would be horribly mean of me to tell someone the reason that I didn't add them on my recent adding spree is because their journal is annoying and boring. Even if they have invited it by posting a message saying that I didn't add them. After all, one could point out that I invited that kind of response by openly posting about said spree.

Don't say anything. Seriously, there's not polite way to tell someone something like that, so just ignore the comment. Maybe it's a little rude, but frankly so is going into someone's journal and asking them why they haven't added you.

ack. This is part of the reason I friend and defriend people in groups of five -- it looks nice and symmetrical, and I hide the one boring and annoying LJ that's driving me batshit with the four LJs that I quite like but just don't have the time for.

Y'know what's funny? The same person friended me the other day. You're so right. About the boring. Also, funny is that you can't read most of my journal--anything thats not icon posts or Buffy reviews without being friended by me, so I'm not sure what there's to get out of it...
