I had a bunny last night. Not just any bunny - a long, involved Angel-fic bunny. I've already written a few pages of it.
I can't even finish it yet, because it's canon-based and set after Season Four, which means that since I'm not reading spoilers, I have to wait a week and a day to have the end.
The story is tentatively titled The Journey and it'll have four main sections, each with three subsections. Each subsection will have a different omniscient first-person point of view (in order: Doyle, Kate, Lindsey, Darla, Lilah, Gunn, Cordy, Fred, Lorne, Wesley. Connor, and then Angel). Except the last one, which will just be first person, and the prologue, which is third-person omniscient.
Tentative titles for each section:
1 - Shifting Sands
2 - Winter Solstice
3 - The Hidden Waterfall
4 - Forgotten Melody
I've already written the first and last lines of the fic, and I have everything worked out except for knowing what happens at the end of Season Four. But I can write most of it without that - though I'll probably end up rewriting it after the finale airs.
The first line: "Though the destination is known, the shape of the journey cannot be seen until it is walked."
I can't believe that I'm going to write this. I am going to write this, though. I can almost see the whole shape of it. I only need the last two episodes for it to be clear.
I've written notes and quotes for each section. It's just there in my head. And it was there last night, so I know that it won't just go away. This story isn't leaving my head until it's finished.
Anyone wanna be on a friendslist section that'll let you read it as I write it?
