Went over to
jic's where I shared some Firefly with a couple of new people (everyone that I've shown it to adores it).
Watched the season finale of Queer as Folk. Once again, my liking for Hunter increased. And I absolutely adore Michael. He just rules. Also, unless I missed a final B/J kiss, the last kiss of the season was Michael/Brian. How much did Justin's put-out expression after Michael and Brian talked amuse me? So very. He was not at all happy until he had the attention back on himself.
I left my Evanescence cd over at hers so that she could burn it and my new Harry over there for her to read. Only because I'd finished it, of course.
Adored the book. Just a few, brief thoughts.
Angry/Angsty Harry totally does it for me. Harry was all kinds of deep in this book. Wonderful.
Hermione was a bit too perfect. About a quarter into the book, I was all, "I bet she's right." And she was. Every time. Which actually, kinda implies that she's right about the House Elves issue, which I'm on her side of. Even though she is way too perfect, I still love her.
Ron was... there. I didn't care about his win but you know, good for him, whatever.
Fanon!Ginny amused. Since she was the version of Ginny that I tend to like most in fanfic, it was all cool.
Draco was... well, he's never seen a death. New Draco info that I adore. Everything else was all stuff that we'd already known, but that bit was interesting. And I loved that he was distracted enough by Harry to stop casting during his exam. So obsessed.
And the MWPP-Snape-Lily flashback was all kinds of interesting. Half-way through, I went, "Harry's dad was so the Draco of his time." And then Lily appeared and she was so Harry! Hee. That was seriously amusing.
One image that will never leave me: Harry with the cutting quill.
*shudders*
And then there's the big death. Sirius. Well, honestly, I've never been very attached. Only really liked him for Harry and Lupin's sake. I mean, it's sad and all, but he did rush in and... well, I hate to be all Dumbledore about it - especially as Dumbledore is a manipulative git - but he did seem to be very reckless there. And if you don't think things through, bad things are more likely to happen.
But yeah, loved it. Very enjoyable. I'm kind of regretting lending it, as I want to reread it already.
Oh. And now that I've gotten my email and checked out my friendslist, I have to go and die, because Lance is... so many kinds of gorgeous.
