Wow, Julian is slashy. No, he's just sexual, I think. He sparks with Miles and Garak, but also with pretty much everyone they've actually put him with, plus Dax. He's just one of those actors that seems to be attractive to everyone. Maybe I see that partly because I find the man so very beautiful. Siddig is just breathtaking.

But yeah, I remember how great he was with Garak, but I'd forgotten how much slashy material there was with Miles as well.

"I do. I really, really do... not hate you anymore." Miles says, after saying that people either hate Julian or love him.

And the other characters and the plots are great, too. Not discounting those, but damn, that guy is sexy. I'd forgotten just how gorgeous he was.

Heh. Oh, Julian. Because I would say Miles was very, very straight, but he clearly had the One True Love with Julian, where he was like, "Hmm...Julian....Keiko....Julian....Keiko...." toward the end.

And my original ship was Julian/Jadzia, so I agree. Mmm, Julian.

Julian was my favorite character on DS9, bar none. I have a friend who's seen everything Alexander Siddig has been in, she likes him so much. He's so gorgeous.

I always loved Julian too. It's funny though - I watched the show long before I ever knew about slash and none of his banter, his friendships at the time struck me as being anything more than just male bonding, friends etc. And yet, reading your comments, I'm remembering things and realizing perhaps I was just a little bit...blind? He really did strike up attraction with everyone he worked with. It was fun to watch, and probably one of the reasons I always enjoyed Julian centric shows.

Julian's my fave! I want to take him home and romp him silly! Especially after the genetic engineering ep.

Also - Julian/Dax is quite possibly my only het ship. With either Jadzia or the one after her. Guh. He's also very slashy, but I never found any of the other male characters attractive, so slashing him - on my part, anyway - is restricted to crossovers.

Mmmmm. Julian/Methos.

Yes, I agree. Miles always struck me as straight... except with Julian. Then it was all, "I really, really... don't hate you." and "I love Keiko, but I like you more."

And yeah, I was such the J/J 'shipper at the beginning. So much potential! But, alas, it wasn't meant to be.

Mmm. I may need to make myself a Julian icon.

He's mine, too. Just so very wonderful. So open and yet so closed, all at the same time. It was like everything was out there in the open, and yet there was the nagging feeling that there was more. That's, I think, why the genetic modification thing made so much sense to me - it explained that sense of more.

And yes, he's so beautiful. Mmm.

I didn't see it my first time through, either. I was a kid and subtext was nonexistent to me. Probably the first time I watched a show and saw the subtext without anyone pointing it out was Buffy.

But yeah, he was just sparky. People always seemed more alive around Julian.

He's fairly dollsome.

Yay! I, too, thought Julian/Ezri worked.

I like the solid guys. Always have, but more and more as time goes on (though I also like the slim, young ones... I have much variety in who I lust after). And I like the complicated ones. So I liked both O'Brian and Garak, though for far different reasons. And most of my reasons for liking/lusting after them aren't based in the physical. I don't find them overwhelmingly attractive, as I do Julian, but I find them interesting enough that they become attractive through that.

oh yes, Julian is.

I have long and tedious thoughts on Their Love. I so lame...

I think he was straight and loved the wife, then over time realised that his friend fancied him and was, not he thought of it, kind of pretty and...

He's got that whole thing where his relationships with women are All About The Sex and fall apart easily, but with men it's all... yeah.

I like his might-be-evil vibe. But I'm all left out of the popular fanon view of the Julian/Garak love as being all squishy and cute. So bad for each other.

I adore the way it's as blatant as possible without ever actually saying anything about it outright. OMG teh slahSy!!21!1!11!! As they say.

I get the feeling I'm going to end up posting about Their Love later today. As procrastination, naturally.
