Watching Jack onscreen is sheer joy. I remember how shocked I was at first by Richard Jean Anderson's portrayal of O'Neill, when before I'd only been familiar (vaguely) with the movie version O'Neill, played by Kurt Russell. But it was a good shock.
I'm also a very, very big supporter of Daniel. *g* he's beautiful and stubborn and brilliant and probably annoying as hell to actually talk to if you aren't as smart as he is, and I adore him for all that. That about sums it up.
I'm a recent convert to Stargate, so I've been catching up on episodes from past seasons that Sci-Fi Channel airs throughout the week, and it's been so much fun reading all the fic, too. I'm pretty particular on how I see the Stargate characters--perhaps even moreso than other shows/fandoms I love--and your view of them really works for me.
