So, I've spent the last few days off-line because I finally noticed that my cable modem service still thought that I lived at my old place. So I had to do the whole 'switching in my old modem for one that is, no kidding, exactly the same and I really could have guessed that because, hey, Comcast? my old one was working fine at my new place'. And now it's installed.

Briefly:
Watched five episodes of Farscape. I really liked Aeryn in Picture If You Will. Always love Chiana.

Rewatched quite a bit of Stargate. Have been bitten with innumerable vidding ideas that I have duly written down, seeing as I have no vidding capabilities at this time.

Saw the new Smallville. Loved everything with that tall chick. Found the rest rather boring (Lana) or overdramatic (Luthors).

And tomorrow, I'm going shopping with my mom. I will use this time to try to buy Christmas presents, as it will be much easier now than it is in December.

Ah, and if you are a United States citizen who is of age to vote, apparently the registration deadline is in a couple of days. Voting is good. Register. Vote. Be counted.

They do kinda suck.

Example: they didn't tell me about the free self-installation kit until I mentioned that I thought it would be kinda silly for me to pay money for someone to come out here when all I'd done was move. And then, they were all, 'Oh, we have a free kit'. But they didn't say a word until I complained, which is very tricky and not nice of them.

you know... I'm an Aussie and obviously I don't get to vote in the upcoming elections, but I hope no one reading you throws away their right to vote...

It's frustrating talking to people who don't see why they should vote, who think that they don't count (thinking specifically of a coworker at the moment). Or people who are too caught up in their lives to realize that this political stuff will have real world effects on them.
