Vince says, in one episode, that Stuart says whatever he says 'for all of them', but it's far more accurate, I think, to say that he says them for Vince. When he picks up those two blokes, he looks for Vince's reaction. He wants to impress Vince. Stuart enjoys many people, but he cares about Vince.
