Exceedingly random thought

I love the song "Green Finch and Linnet Bird" (from Sweeney Todd). I desperately wish that I could vid it to something, but I don't watch anything at the moment that has characters who are that restricted by their circumstances. Mostly because that would depress the hell out of me, so I avoid such things (and yet, I love that song. Go figure).

My cage has many rooms
damask and dark...
Nothing there sings,
not even my lark.
Larks never will, you know,
when they're captive.
Teach me to be more
adaptive.
That bit is my favorite part of the song, especially the part in bold.
