butterfly: (Can't Stop -- Wash)
Very full day, yesterday. I've gone to two panels so far ('Why Vid?' and 'Hip Hop Vidding'), both of which were fantastic and I've placed a hold for Can't Stop, Won't Stop at my library at home. Saw two of my vids in Nearly New (one of which was actually a premiering vid that I shall post about in a few days) and my come-down time from my hyped-up nerves was significantly shorter than last year (wooh!), only lasting about a song.

There was dinner! With [livejournal.com profile] katie_m and [livejournal.com profile] thefourthvine and some really interesting and cool person that I possibly vaguely recognized who was not wearing her name badge in a visible location and thus, in the light of the next day, I have no memory of who she might be. Which makes me very sad, on account of the aforementioned 'interesting and cool'. We went to a Thai place. This will shock anyone who knows what a picky eater I am. Some of the food tasted complicated and I didn't care. I liked it anyway. I may be growing as a person. Or I was distracted by the fun and lovely three people I was eating with. [livejournal.com profile] thefourthvine is also vegetarian, which made things easier.

There was Club Vivid, which I stayed for all of, this year (last year, I had a headache a bit through and retreated to my room). So much fun. Epic fun. Thirty premiering CV vids (including Gone with the Wind to Beethoven's Fifth of Gold Digger... vid by [livejournal.com profile] absolutedestiny and just brilliant). There are many others that I'm thrilled will be on the (four-disc) Vividcon dvd set (off the top of my head, the Will and Grace one to Paul McCartney was fantastic and I think I've only seen about ten minutes of the show, Toxic (BtVS), Ohh La La (Dead Zone), Vogue (300... hysterically funny), Improper Dancing (Multi and so much fun), Rapture Riders (Torchwood/Doctor Who), Filthy Mind (Multi), and Staying Alive (Supernatural!)... but there were more that I liked, a lot more).

Plus, I got the chance to talk to people during CV -- [livejournal.com profile] nightchik, [livejournal.com profile] raveninthewind, and [livejournal.com profile] minnow1212, and some people whose names I didn't recognize and some people whose names I possibly recognized and some people whose names I recognized at the time but my mind is drawing a blank at the moment (plus, I chatted with people between panels and such -- [livejournal.com profile] anoel and [livejournal.com profile] wolfling in particular).

Then, after volunteer clean-up (standing on chairs -- wooh!), I fetched [livejournal.com profile] jic from our room and we watched an episode of Blackpool down with [livejournal.com profile] jmtorres, [livejournal.com profile] par_avion, [livejournal.com profile] settiai, and [livejournal.com profile] niqaeli. God, that is a brilliantly cracked-out show.

I... had no time to answer any comments yesterday. Wow, full day. It's fifteen past eight now and programming starts at ten, so I may have time this morning. Or possibly not, as I still need to read my flist.
