Television Viewing: Freaks and Geeks
Mar. 8th, 2006 02:03 pmSo, I've tried out Freaks and Geeks. As a show, I found it about half neat and half... intensely not. I liked Lindsay and her story, but while I liked Sam well enough, I found his story not at all what I wanted to watch. Honestly, I probably wouldn't have kept watching the show past the pilot, if I'd been watching live -- I'm only continuing now because I can skip the parts without Lindsay.
I do, however, like Lindsay quite a lot. The actor is adorable (and apparently was in Brokeback Mountain, but I can't place her -- the Heath's post-marriage dance partner, maybe?) and the character has the good taste to think that Daniel (James Franco) is hot (James Franco is the only reason I watched Spider-Man 2). I've seen five episodes and spent most of them wishing that Lindsay and Daniel could have sex. Because they are pretty and vibe off each other and, yeah, he might be bad for her, but she might be good for him, and they're pretty. And she seems to be heading toward a place where she calls him off when he tries to manipulate her, and they vibe off each other a lot, with quite a bit of leaning in and personal space violation.
Sadly, I doubt they will get together in the thirteen or so episodes that I have left to see. Especially since he has a girlfriend and all.
