Stargate (SG-1) 8x01 -- New Order
Jul. 10th, 2004 02:27 amFirst off, massive amounts of squee are being felt. I'm watching an episode of a show that I absolutely adore that is still on the air. I suspect that my built-up Angel and Buffy need will be channelling directly into my Stargate viewage. Also, and this is a bit random, but I adore the whole 'watching sixes' as 'rear watch' thing. Is that real military talk? It rules.
The preview for the Farscape mini looks pretty damn awesome. Chiana rules! Also, there are those other guys (oddly, the more I watch Stargate, the less Daniel looks like John Crichton. When I first saw a picture of him, I totally thought he looked like Ben Browder (this would be a picture from The First Ones -- Bandana! Eee!), but now he's way hotter than JC to me. Maybe I just like his journey better. And his brains and ethics are more, well, my type. And his taste in women is closer to mine (Have seen Forever in a Day, have decided that Sha're is on my top ten hottest chicks list. Interestingly enough, she kinda looks like Charisma Carpenter in the episode (whenever her hair is straight), but, you know, hotter.) and I just 'get' him more.) who are also cool (Heh, anyone actually make it to the end without referring back to where which parenthesis ended where? (I'm even having a hard time.)).
So, I first watched the Stargate to Atlantis lowdown. Went "ooo". Thinking about watching SG-A. Definitely thinking about it. The Wraiths looks cool (kinda like the mermaids in Peter Pan, actually). It was really neat seeing all that info about SG-1. And Michael Shanks amuses me. He's my kind of funny (Chia!Teal'c will always be funny to me. Oh, yes. "The seed-spreading thing". Saying that he thinks Thor doesn't like post but should just do his own voice. Various other things that made me giggle out loud.). Daniel is also my kind of funny ("Tell them how deep you are." *snicker*). Peter DeLuise also amuses me (re: Ba'al -- "He could be an underwear model." Hee, and true.) There are a lot of funny people working on the SG sets.
( spoilers for an actual eighth season of a show that I'm actually watching! Yay! It's so cool and it's eight years old! Amazing! )
So, I've decided to give Stargate (Atlantis) a try next week when it premieres.
