Okay, I've got Buffy speeches from Prophecy Girl, Becoming, part two, Earshot, The Gift, Afterlife, As You Were, Normal, Again, Grave, Selfless, Never Leave Me, and now Bring on the Night.

Can anyone think of any of episodes that contain good Buffy-speechage?

B/X in season Seven

I've been going over the B/Xness of Seven and it's been great to see how much there is.

Four, Five, and even Six were fairly Xander-lite years. Third season is the season that started the down-spiral for Xander.

In Six, Xander saved the world and reconnected with his friends.

At first, I was afraid that it would be a quick fix but it seems to have lasted.

Xander finally seems to see his own self-worth.

And Buffy has been treating him like a team mate. She brings him with Dawn and herself on routine stakings. When she wants to take out the spider-demon, again, she takes Xander along. Much of the time, he's along for nothing other than moral support, humor and the possibility of backing her up. Unless she has a specific reason not to take Xander along, Xander seems to always be there.

Xander's her primary back-up again. I missed that.

I love that they talked in Seeing Red and since then have been behaving accordingly. They cleared the air. There was sharing and growing.

Anyway, will think more on this later, perhaps after a reviewing of season seven.

I'm thinking of trying to read The Two Towers now that I've seen the movie. Some of my favorite bits are apparently also in the book, so I'm interested.

Still.

I like his ideas. I like his characters. I like his places.

I hate his writing.

Firefly in 40 minutes!

Coolest Thing Ever:

My mom was part of the original postcard campaign to put Star Trek back on the air for a third season.

I found this out when I told her about Firefly.

Man, my mom is so cool sometimes.
