Ben/Glory is Buffy! In a way. The Ben/Glory struggle is the Buffy inner struggle Writ God-Size.

Ben: "I didn't ask for any of this. I just want to be normal."

Of course, in the end, Ben betrays his principals to go along with Glory. And then Buffy beats Glory and Giles kills Ben. So, who even knows?

I just know that Ben really reminds me of "I don't want to lose my love!"Buffy and Glory is an evil mirror parody of Buffy.

Eeep!

Oh, my. In the Gift when Xander does his 'maybe we could kill Ben... oh, god' thing, you can see Giles looking thoughtful. That's when the thought entered his head.
