Well, base 2 makes sense because of... you know, all the dualism (and the 0 and 1 thing is, like, easy, yeah?). But yeah, it's fairly obvious that I am Not A Math Person. Because, yeah, I'm not entirely at the level of Daniel "Oh, you need a 0 for complicated math?" Jackson, but I'm not so far off, either.
Where did they get base 16 from? I'm a bit curious.

Terrific episode. The second half of the season has been impressing me thus far.
I hated that First Prime with a passion. I hate this recent trend of making the Jaffa more like human basketball players that a proud other race, and he was the apotheosis of that.
I didn't see the basketball player-ness, but then again, I don't watch basketball. I know that you bounce the ball and try to get it into the other side's hoop, but otherwise? At sea. Oh, and there's a whole 'distance=more points' thing.
