So, one of the reasons that I really like The Dead Zone is Sarah Bannerman. I really like her. After three seasons, I find her character very realistic and sympathetic and interesting. And I've found my first OT3. In every other potential threesome/love triangle, there's been a broken link for me, a pairing that wouldn't work (or that wouldn't work in conjunction with the other two -- ex. I like Simon/Mal, I like River/Mal, and I like Simon/River, but a Simon who was broken enough to sleep with River would never be willing to show that weakness to Mal, so any threesomeness is impossible in my mind).

With TDZ, not only do I believe all three pairings, but I also love their interaction as a trio. And I love all the characters fairly equally, which is another very rare situation for me (ex. I don't OT3 Buffy/Xander/Willow, primarily because I just don't like Willow enough... also, Buffy comes off as really straight to me, but the Willow thing is important, too). I want all three of them to be as happy as possible. Honestly, I want to bundle up the Bannermans en masse and move them into Johnny's house. They'd all have plenty of room, he wouldn't be alone in there, and Sarah and Walt could take care of him, because he needs that. And he'd be in the same house as his son, which would be really nice for him. And Johnny would help Walt Solve Crimes, and they'd all take care of JJ and... in my head, it just works, just like Buffy/Xander works or Fraser/Kowalski works.

So far, in the series, my favorite little moments are those gracenotes of them as a family, all four of them. Walt saying, in the pilot, of JJ -- "my son... our son... all our son," or telling Johnny to take care of "our family" or thanking Johnny for bringing Sarah back "to us". Sarah firmly telling Johnny that she and JJ and Walt are all Johnny's family now. Gathering together to tell JJ that he's lucky enough to have two fathers who love him with all their hearts. Walt spontaneously giving Johnny a tight hug after Johnny wakes up in the hospital one episode. The inclusiveness of the affection there. Jealousy exists, but is worked past, moment by moment, and the love is always stronger.

*sigh*

It makes me happy. This is nice.

I have been known to say the same thing. Even if they weren't all sexually involved with each other, the love and respect is so strong that it really is a threesome.

I love all three of them. I'm happy that you love Sarah too. Not everyone does.

Word. *fist of solidarity*

Also, you being not dead makes me happy, too!

My morning self talk:
*about 7:15, after being up for 45 minutes, realizes bedroom empty*
"B isn't home. I must have missed the part where she said she was staying the night. Unless I didn't miss that part, and she had an accident. I should call and check. Only not at 7:15 in the morning, because, really, the odds are in favor of me having missed that part, and B is NEVER awake at 7:15. Except when she is. I'll check later, when she's at least more likely to be awake."

Yay!

Exactly. And it's so rare to see that kind of three-way bond on tv.

I'm definitely a fan of Sarah. I can probably guess why many people don't like her (the apex of any triangle tends to get cries of 'just choose already'), but her confusion and caring feels so real to me.

I'm rather pleased about my state of non-deadness as well.
