Deleted my google+ account. Too much hassle worrying about it and its unclear rules regarding pseuds. It's so weird that google managed to understand why people would want to separate out privacy into circles but not understand the pseudonym issues.

Straw that broke the camel's back.

This is how. Article from GigaOm: Hey Google — being social is not an engineering problem (http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/07/13/idUS88655906920110713). Apparently the culture is too bent on traditional engineering to pay attention to the social science.

Also I get the distinct feeling that prevalently male organizations do not see the immediate need to remain un-stalked or otherwise safe in a public space.
