Doctor Who: Love and Monsters

Simply put, I adored this episode. It was fun and bouncy and meta, with just enough seriousness and angst to matter. I loved getting to see a more outside view of the Doctor and really liked the members of LINDA, particularly Elton and Ursula (and suspect that, personally, I am in the Bliss category. Woe. *grins*). They were like a mini-view of exactly what fandom can be about, good and then bad, too. Very nice.
We didn't get much of the Doctor and Rose this week, but what we did get was quality. For the Doctor, I particularly liked him making the distinction between the ability to be 'kind' and being 'nice'. For Rose, I adored her fierce defensiveness of her mother and then her quick, sweet compassion with Elton when she realized that he was more than just a creepy mother-stalker. Jackie was funny and amazing -- I love what they've done with her character.
Overall, it was just lovely and enjoyable.

Btw, have you seen any of the new spoilers that have came out?

I have. I am currently cradling my broken, broken heart. Okay, it is not quite that bad, but I am sad about it. For me, it really all depends on how well they do the story and character part of it.
