Bawdy, huh? I had a feeling he'd bring the sexy as Hamlet. The scary-sexy, especially in those scenes with Ophelia.

Oh, I really hope that they do. It would be such a sure seller.

To give an example of the bawdy: for "country matters", there's roughly a three-section pause after he pronounces 'count' and the rest of the word. Oh, and while he's saying that? He's leaning back on his heels and spreading his knees very widely.

That's my one problem with Doctor Who: because it's a family show, and because it's a tradition of sorts that the Doctor be mostly asexual, Tennant as Ten can never really tap into that raw sexuality of his. Oh, he works it as much as he can in the subtext, but it has and always must be exactly that: sub.

When he gives up playing the Doctor, I will miss him. But I will be interested to see what other, more adult roles he does. Still think he'd make a fab Lord Peter Wimsey. (Though I realize that's not a very sexual character either.)

David knows his way around an innuendo. Even on DW, he injects a lot into what he's given.
