Set after Storyteller.
The Idiot Box
He'd asked for the tape yesterday. Andrew had given it to him easily enough, even hooked everything up so that he could watch it.
Then the boy had left, knowing for once when he wasn't needed.
Spike stared at the tv, stared at his face looking back.
He looked older than he remembered, which should be impossible. Maybe that was the soul's doing.
He looked lost. Looked so very old, and yet not at all wise. Just old and foolish, as he'd once been young and foolish.
He pressed play, watched himself posture at the camera.
He couldn't recognize himself.
