Buffy drabble: We Don't

sunday100 happens to be "good-bye", in honor of Buffy.
We Don't
"I'm going to be fine." Hopefully, Buffy wouldn't cry.
"You're going to be on the other side of the world!" Buffy wasn't crying but she was doing that thing with her eyes that made her look like a baby seal.
"I'm going to the other side of the continent. Slightly different."
"You'll call?"
"I promise."
Buffy's arms went around her tightly, and Dawn didn't bother to tell her to ease up. She'd almost miss the bone-crushing hugs.
"I'll see you this Christmas?"
"Yeah. I'll come home for Christmas."
Dawn pulled away and headed for the gate.
They never said good-bye.
