The greatest thing you'll ever learn...

Moulin Rouge still makes me cry at the end.

Ewan fucking McGregor, man. Of course, Baz is partly to blame, since he doesn't have a problem with actors seriously crying (see: Romeo and Juliet for more ugly and real crying from a Baz film). And Nicole is perfect in this, truly. Gorgeous and tragic and, dude, her skin glows.

I've seen this film... I couldn't possibly count the number of times. And yet, it captures me each time. I laugh and weep with just as much fervor as the first time I saw it in theaters. It's such an intensely cathartic movie -- it gives you permission to feel on an epic scale.

i have to completely agree with you. every time i watch it i laugh and giggle and weep at the end.. every time..

i just watched it the other day too and it was fabulous!

It really does have the full range of emotions and it delivers every time, no matter how many times I've seen the movie.
