Simplicity, Itself

Simplicity Itself

He was certain that he was in love. He'd gone over his feelings dozens of times, carefully writing out why he thought that he was in love.

He was also never going to tell anyone. He'd figured that out fairly earlier on, after a list of pros and cons had come up overwhelming against telling.

And love wasn't the be all and end all. It hurt that he couldn't tell, but it was a dull, constant ache that he'd grown used to. Sure, it spiked whenever he saw Justin, especially with Britney, but he could handle it. He was the calm one. The serious one. All he needed was his work and friendships and sometimes Laura when the ache got too bad. She really was sweet and understanding. She didn't love him either, but she enjoyed being his girlfriend. And the sex was good. Fun. It was enough.

He wasn't sure exactly how the guys would react to his news. He knew that they wouldn't care that he was bi, but having a 'crush' on a member of the group... that was trickier. He couldn't figure out how they'd react, there were too many variables, too many unknowns.

And it wasn't like he was crying himself to sleep at night. Well, that had only happened once. Twice at the most. Okay, there was that time when Justin and Britney...

But he wasn't thinking about that kind of stuff. At all.

With a sigh, he moved his mouse slightly, kicking his laptop out of the screensaver. Work. He needed to concentrate on work.

There was a lot for him to do.
