I fully plan to squee about Thursday night television when I get back from work, but right now, I have a more serious topic.

If you were watching the CW last night, you probably saw the new Burger King commercial. If, like me, you found it to be highly offensive and sexist, you may want to join me in writing to say so to the BK Corporate office.

That's the one. It also includes a scantily-clad girl in pink at the end, holding a burger in front of a guy to encourage him to move faster.

Gotcha. Even Mr WG seemed mildly horrified by it. I wasn't paying super-close attention but it was really crappy, thoughtless advertising. Thanks for the info, I'll drop them a note and let them know I didn't like it.

I haven't seen it, and if you're all complaining today, I'd bet I never will. It doesn't take many complaints or much time to kill an ad. I emailed a complaint about a Coke ad once, and never saw it again.

I tried to find an email address but they don't accept email. At all.

I called the corporate headquarters and made a complaint after being transferred to "customer service" or similar. 305-378-3000. She said she would forward it to marketing.

Yea, I watched it and actually said, "well, anyone who buys into that shit is welcome to kill themselves with the insta-stroke that burger is guaranteed to provide, and thereby leave the planet more inhabitable for the rest of us." My husband mostly blinked a lot. He also thought it was insane.

I saw that ad a few months ago, and it made me furious. I saw it a few times and then it disappeared, so I figured they got a lot of complaints about it and pulled it.

I'm really pissed that it's back. I will complain about it this time.
