Last night, I went out to see Starsky and Hutch, which was very fun and left me with the urge to see the series, which I've added to my netflix queue (which is at 266 discs... yeah, I know).

I'm thinking of catching Jersey Girl today (I really do heart Ben -- I liked Daredevil quite a bit (though that also had something to do with liking the direction of the character and getting a kick out of the spiritual angle). Now, I didn't see Gigli because too much J.Lo can counteract even really liking Ben, but this one sounds handleable, J.Lo-wise.). No clue what's up with the sudden urge to see movies. There was a slice of my life that was Return of the King or nothing, movie-wise, but I seem to have gotten over it.

I've been told that the movie Starsky & Hutch is more of a parody of the series--that the series was never intended to be funny.

Yeah, I've heard that, too. Still, it would be very interesting to check it out.

And, hey, it might be funny in that cheesetastic unintentional way that so many favored fandoms are...

Like the Original Star Trek, which I adore to bits (my mom was an Original Trekkie -- as in 'sent letters to get a third season'), but wow, has so much cheese when you rewatch. And I hear The Sentinel's like that. Also, Smallville quite a bit of the time.

They're in love, yes?
Oh so yes.

They really really are.

You have 266 movies in your netflix queue?

I start feeling twitchy when mine is over 60. I guess because I figure I will never get to half of them, ever.

Oh, I may never get to all of them. Depends on how long I live. But I like having the option.
