Apparently, the depressiveness of Mad Men sent me running to find the fluffiest, cutest visuals I could possibly find.
No, not baby animals.
The Jonas Brothers.
I had been previously only mildly aware of their existence (Stephen Colbert mentions them in his Christmas Special) but they seemed to be causing some people on my flist great joy. So, I decided, why not?
(I should never say 'why not?')
Because the Jonas Brothers are cuter than baby animals.
I don't really have an opinon on their musical talent and I have enough places to find music that it really isn't a big concern. They don't suck and they aren't utterly fabulous. Some songs they sound better on than others. "A Little Bit Longer" (which Nick, the youngest of the brothers in the group (there's also a Quite Young One, known as the Bonus Jonas (note: not actual name), but he is not part of the Singing Jonases (Jonai?) ), wrote after he learned he had Type I diabetes) makes me a bit sniffly.
But I do have an opinion on their adorability level. It is very high.
Also, have a random bonus picture of Zac Efron (who played Young!Simon in Safe before he was HSM!Boy or Link in Hairspray!) talking to Leo DiCaprio at a... basketball?... game. Or something. I can't actually tell LD from just his chin, so it could be anyone (but I think it's him).
In Bigger News, the Doctor Who special is airing on Saturday. I'm really very excited about it. And, you know, I thought I was ready to let go of the show, but as the time approaches, part of me wants to, like, write to RTD to beg him to never leave 'Who', please. And then I remember that I'd decided I was okay with this 'moving on' business. So, yeah.
Marry, Shag, Cliff
Marry: Mickey Smith.
This was so easy. Mickey is cute and, once he attaches, is very hard to dislodge. This is more acceptable in someone you've decided to spend your life than someone you are just shagging once. Mickey would probably make a really great husband, I think. Especially post-Doctor/Rose acceptance Mickey (before that and he would probably be pining for Rose and that would be a very bad thing in a marriage, so, yes, definitely post-"Journey's End" Mickey for me). Mickey is love.
Shag: Pete Tyler. (no picture available: here, have Rose instead. On an informational note, I have just about 200 pictures of Billie Piper on my computer. This is significantly more than I have of anyone else)
Not very enthusiastically, as Pete's not my type, but I suspect he would be even less my type in an actual relationship. But, you know, he's not a giant head in a jar.
Cliff: The Face of Boe. (no picture available: here, have Donna instead, with the additional note that, unless circumstances were very unfortunate for her, I would not cliff her)
I'd only want Jack while he still had his body. I'm shallow like that.

I'm about ten minutes into the pilot and finding myself ruthlessly charmed by Barney. I was expecting to think that he was an asshole! But "Have you met Ted?" is actually kinda an adorable thing for him to do.

Lily and Marshall are a very adorable couple. And the surprise smooth that Barney laid on Marshall made me giggle, as did Marshall's reaction in protesting to Lily that he really hadn't given a signal and her look of "oh, duh, honey".
