Notes

I was actually sent this song back in November '07. I listened to it, loved the beat and the sound of the singers' voices, but thought that it was just a little too co-dependent for my Doctor and Rose.

Then, you know, "Turn Left" aired. And we learned that, if not for Donna, the Doctor would have let himself die. I blinked and then relistened to the "No Air" (and, by this time, I'd acquired more Jordin Sparks songs and really gotten to like her style even more). This time around, it fit. I played around with the song a bit and then realised that in order for it to work, the Doctor and Rose had to be 'on-screen' at the same time and yet separate. Split screens were a necessity. This led to much internal flailing of the 'will it be taken seriously if it has split screens?' variety. Which, obviously, I got over.

Hee. Thank you! I'm so glad that you liked the handhold. Yay! I knew what I wanted to do there, but it took me a while to figure out how to make the tech I had do it.

oh god and the faces that you lined up when the screens were split between them and how it just matched the music perfectly! I.. I just get so... so.. overcome. This isn't my Who pairing preference at all, except that you make me totally feel every facet of it every single time around and that's absolutely amazing.

I mean I wouldn't think twice about the song if I heard it on the radio or whatever, but it just totally is transformed here into something meaningful.

Thank you so much. Seriously. I love this pairing so much that when that gets put across to someone who isn't a huge fan of them, it gives me this warm glow of accomplishment. Especially since I may never stop vidding them (they are totally my Sylar).

The color was so much fun. Especially matching the frame coloring. Because I definitely wanted to have an actual visual division between the two sides of the screen, so the framing came naturally, but I didn't want the outside to be blue all the time because that wouldn't fit... especially for the second verse.
