So, I hopped over to the CW site and checked out their "director's cut" scene for Wither. The way that Oliver and Lois met is so incredibly, adorably Lois Lane.
It also pointed out to me one of the reasons that Lois works for me on the show better than Lana does. Because here, when Lois makes an assumption and fucks something up, she is both immediately called on her mistake by Martha and then feels like crap for it.
And I adored the way that Oliver looks at her, like she's possibly the most unexpected person he's ever met. That, too, is very Lois.
And now, to work with me.
