Drizzt Do'Urden - Deviant

Drizzt Do'Urden was my first 'hero' love.

My mom introduced him to me, as she's the one who introduced the Forgotten Realms books to me. I enjoyed the others, but when I came to a book with Drizzt in it, I ws fascinated. He was so complex! As I read more about him, he only got more complicated and more interesting. He may be part of the reason that I adore heros so because Drizzt is my first, best example of a hero.

Dune:

I found three of our Dune books. All of them have been woefully mistreated, it's such a sad thing. Of course, all of mom's books in general look that way. She's hard on books. Well, she says it shows that they're loved.

At this point, I have to restrain myself from screaming, "You have a degree in Library Sciences! How can you think that way?"

So I'm reattaching the Dune Messiah cover. It's a copy from the first full printing.

*sighs*

Hmmm.

Normal Again is giving me to urge to buy a copy of I Never Promised You A Rose Garden.

And I read a fucking brilliant book in HS about this kind of thing. Damn. Something- Light and Dark? Damn. I really want to re-read and I can't remember the name.

[edit: Lisa! Lisa! That's the first part of the title Lisa: Bright and Dark]
