Stargate: Atlantis

One thing that has confused me in other posts in their interpretation of what one of the (now ex) wives back in the village said. She said that she'd refused to sleep with him more than once (before the herb). Most people seem to be saying that she meant that she'd slept with him once and then stopped, but from the way she was acting, I completely thought that she was saying that more than once, she'd refused to sleep with him. As in, turning him down multiple times.

That's the way I heard it, too. She'd turned him down more than once...

Uh, I took your interpretation and find the other one sketchy!

As in, he raped them all. That's how I took it.

Without fanfare, but lack of consent, which is the case here since it could not be given freely? Is rape.

No, you're right. She refused more than once.

I took it to mean that she refused him more than once.

I don't think it really matters if she slept with him before or not the fact that he was using a drug to influence them into sleeping with him now...he took away their ablity to consent.

Based on her cadence and emphasis, I interpretted what she said as, "I slept with him once, but then refused several times." So, now we have to watch it again. Oh, woe is us.
