Interesting post, and I think you have good points. What bothers me a little about the SGA thing is how they go about making some of these choices without much of a sense of the gravity of them. And that doesn't suit the characters; they *should* know; they are not stupid, unaware people. Also, the hypocrisy from those who are a part of it, who then show shock over the natural conclusion.
