What's the most fascinating to me is that passage where he's displaying this fear/disgust of women as infection - SO much fear of infection shows up in his work - when ranting about Kim, and yet is able to still return to cherishing his daughter like that.
She probably IS the only female he could ever truly love. Em is such a complex, working contradiction.
