Quick Stargate (Season Six) question:
Is Carter ever in selfhood peril? Because that's what seems to be what draws Daniel to Jack in Abyss and to Teal'c in The Changeling. It's not about their lives being in danger, but their personhood, who they are. Does Sam have an episode like that? Because if she doesn't, then the answer to why Daniel never appeared to her is simple and, well, not an 'ouch' for her. If she does, though, then that brings up all kinds of questions (I've been watching S4 and observing some very interesting Daniel vibes towards Sam and Jack, which is why the question).
Also, I have seen vid-age of Season Seven Daniel. I'm thinking of building an altar. One that features green, because blue is too obvious. Green goes nicely with his eyes without being too much (I'm thinking of
lasultrix's pretty military geek chic icon). Though I think his hottest moment is breaking through the glass in Meridian. You can't even seen his face when he lands, but it is still so incredibly hot. Self-sacrifice as the ultimate turn-on, I suppose.
Edit: Too much exposure to Stargate may induce use of excess exclamation marks and inspire loud squeals of giddy joy. Consider yourself warned.

Ok, ok, I will. Do I start with S1 or the movie? Is there more than one movie or am I just crazy which is not an unlikely possibility?

Personally, as someone who checked out the series first (well, three episodes), I would see the movie first, for the background. Just know that the series is, you know, better.

You must post all about it once you've seen it.

I'll do my best but the only time I ever really did that properly aside from incoherent squeaks was for the first half of S3 Alias. I'm very lazy so I don't write out my opinions on shows properly often enough. ;) For example, I have many on "Angel" and "Buffy" but they rarely leave my brain.

Well, incoherent squeals can be fun, too.

Most definitely. :D

Sam's never really in a loss-of-personhood situation in S6, no. There's a she-may-dissolve-into-goo situation, but it's resolved. (Obviously.)

It's so shiny! The shininess of Stargate beckons.

That's good. It would be a Bad Sign if she had been and he hadn't gone to her. Though his treatment of her in Full Circle sounds Bad Sign-y. Also, have I mentioned the odd vibes that I've been getting from Daniel as I watch the start of Season Four?

Sorry, bitter.
Which vibes? You mentioned an attitude towards J/S, which sounded interesting. I never really noticed Daniel noticing it (Even in D&C), but it wouldn't surprise me if he had, because that was the season they decided Canon, Canon, Make the J/S Canon.

Also, now that I'm thinking about it, there were some serious bitter vibes in his dream way forward in Absolute Power. I mean, he has Sam declared crazy and sent into a prison (and of course, I got the impression that he may have had Teal'c killed or something (because somehow Daniel got na... whatever in his system, right? Because he could use the whatsit), but he's probably bitter over the wife-killing thing with Teal'c). He's also very... cruel in a very nice way with Jack, giving him just enough rope to hang himself.

Jack is totally side-lining Daniel in case of possible CarterSex, and Sam... kind of never really clicked the way the others all did.

Because she took his
loverbest friend Jack from him! With her womanly wiles!no subject
As a character, you mean? She is less... visibly interesting than the rest. I mean, Daniel's... Daniel. He's incredibly complicated. Stubborn, ethical and ruthless. Jack's snarky, which I always enjoy. Plus, he's got the Tragic Dead Kid Backstory and he's the Leader Of Sorts, But Not Really Because They Have That General Hammond Dude. Plus, they're the movie guys.
And Teal'c is... dude. He's Teal'c. There are no words and too many.
In comparision, I just can't really get into Sam. Apparently, she has a dream episode in S7, but is there one before that? Or just an episode that explores her inner emotional life?
