Daniel leaves rather dramatically at the end of season five, but he's back full-time in season seven. He makes three appearances in season six, one of which is a very popular episode for the J/D slashers.
Very good to know. So, I don't have to worry about him leaving any time soon for me. And then he's only gone for most of a season?
There is a significant segment of fandom devoted to worshipping, infantilizing, feminizing and/or sainting Daniel. You'll run across them sooner or later if you're in fandom any length of time, and you can see this in much of the fiction. It's annoying in the extreme. So Daniel-worshipping fans are greeted with suspicion until they are understood to be in the 'not rabid' category.
Ah, yes. Worship can get boring and/or annoying. Though I can understand why he has rabid fans. I've only known him for three episodes and I adore him.
And now to do first things second.
