More Stargate News for Farscape Fans

First, a quirk of my friending policy:
If you delete your journal, I will take you off my friendslist. This has nothing to do with anything but the fact that I find looking at a crossed-out name to be both depressing and unharmonious. And if you deleted by accident or changed your mind or it was a scurrilous lj error, your flist will immediately come back online once you've undeleted your journal and I will probably proceed to refriend you, as, hey, look, no more crossed-out line.

Yes, I have the relationship skills of a twelve-year old.

Also, if you are a Farscape fan and recent casting spoilers (of which there are now plural) are enticing you to think of watching Stargate, check out [livejournal.com profile] katie_m's brilliant and funny guide to SG-1.

Excerpt:
Once upon a time there was this race called the Ancients, who created a system of wormholes used to travel all over the galaxy. Much much later, there was a man named John, who traveled through these wormholes and in the course of that travel got the knowledge of the Ancients downloaded into his head…

Stop me when this starts to sound familiar.

And apparently Claudia Black will be returning for five episodes in season nine (from [livejournal.com profile] elz).

And there are some people who would say that Michael (who plays Doctor Daniel Jackson) and Ben look a bit alike. This is not untrue. Things to watch for -- Ben's eyes are lighter in color, Michael's lower lip is more defined, Ben's nose is smidge wider, and they have completely different wrinkle patterns -- MS's is centered, while Ben has an extra line on the right side of his forehead. Also, Daniel will helpfully be wearing glasses much of the time.

Ah, but I predicted Spike joining the show to be okay! Mainly because he precisely followed the Angel pattern of One, Two, Crap, Move To LA And Become Great And Gay.

Plus, I'd watched Buffy before. Never having seen any Farscape (and judging by the [livejournal.com profile] crack_van summary, I don't think I would have enjoyed it) I'm just getting confused.

I just watched Gemini! It was great! I love AT.

Hee. Also, true.

It's not the show for everyone. It wasn't for me -- despite the fact that I generally liked the characters, I didn't enjoy the story. I dislike the drive of the show. I can only take the show in small doses, and that's mostly because I have such a crush on the Chiana, a grey alien character.

You are so evil in the best way. I've been reading lots of spoilers for the second half of the season and they aren't nearly enough information.
