I gotta agree with that. I think that it's easier for him to understand than it would be for someone like Jack, whose had a child of his own and understood the responsibility and love more personally. Doesn't mean he's right (but then again Daniel quite often isn't when it comes to his own personal matters), but just that he's giving Nick the benefit of the doubt (not that Nick deserves it. I'm totally with you on this - He's an Ass.)
