It’d just been a façade, a cover for Darth Vader to hide behind until he could betray everyone who’d trusted him.
Ouch. Well, Han is going to be actively not helpful to Anakin. That's going to make things even more difficult.
Han was just relieved that Luke was staying Luke, and not taking sides
Luke does take sides. He takes his own side, which is also your side and the other guy's side. It's one of those psuedo-Zen Jedi things which trip people up. You'd think Han would have noticed by now.
I love how Artoo makes all sorts of soft sad noises, until Obi-Wan is mentioned. Then he's Action Droid! I bet Anakin and Obi-Wan are going to get one of the rudest wake-ups ever when Artoo gets there.
And I notice that Chewie hasn't said anything. Admittedly, his piece of the puzzle -- Yoda on Kashyyyk -- doesn't seem to be connected to anything, but he did *know* Jedi back in the day, and if he didn't recognize Old Ben as a Jedi, if not as General Kenobi, it's because he didn't want to.
At this rate, Luke was going to get him in real trouble one day.
Because inducing him to join a hopeless Rebellion is not as bad as getting him to piss off his girlfriend. I love Han. He's so self-centered.
