I also haven't watched anything of the last two seasons. My knowledge basically boils down to:
Timey-Wimey Shenanigans!
And a fez.
River Song wears red heels.
There was a Van Gogh episode that was good and Gaiman made the TARDIS human.
I am not sorry that I quit watching.
