I don't know who's more messed up in the head right now -- you or the Doctor. ;p

Hee. Thanks. I do have to say that it wasn't my idea. I'm just the crazy person who ran with it and tried to make that particular crazy regeneration idea actually make sense with the Doctor's characterization!

Around this part, I thought "You're not going there": He reached up and ruffled Jack's hair, almost wistfully. His eyelids slid halfway shut and he saw the reflection of them over Jack's shoulder – a dark-haired man holding tightly to a blonde woman – and his mind wandered, just a little.

...and, then, you totally did. With Doctor imagining what Rose and his clone's lives were like in Pete's World, as if he were some sort of fanfic writer. While using Jack as his surrogate and, um, himself as Rose's substitute. (Reviewing this story is hell on pronouns.)

Oh, yes, I totally went there. This fic existed so that I could go there.

Overall, though, this fic was surprisingly sweet for a concept that is totally screwed up.

Again, thank you very much. It was surprisingly easy to write (should that be worrying?).
