Battlestar Galactica -- Lay Down Your Burdens (S2 Finale)

I've got three new BSG icons -- the one I'm using right now and these two:

 

I *heart* the Cylons, clearly (and yes, I skipped using 1.1 because it doesn't look as interesting).

I'm pretty pleased with the time-jump. It gives the writers a chance to shake things up and to still have the planet/fleet division without people flying over to Caprica every week. All of the important elements of the show are still in place -- the Cylon/human conflict, Balter's shady relationship with the Cylons, a fleet that's unprepared and on the defense, and a Cylon plan.

And it makes sense to me that Six's plan (whatever it is) would never, could never, mean actually leaving the humans alone. She's in love with one of them, after all (as is Sharon). She can't just abandon Balter to his fate, not when she knows that he's alive. There wasn't a chance that she'd settle for anything that meant she would never see him again.

Sharon, on the other hand, is more complicated. Yes, she loved the Chief, but she also genuinely loved the Battlestar crew in general (of whom the prominent members still planetside are Tyrol and Starbuck, and I'm really hoping that we'll get to see her interact with both of them).

Leoben is kind of the wild card in the ground -- we don't know if his plan is the same as the other Cylons' plan, and we do know that he has a particular interest in the destiny of one Kara Thrace. With Anders possibly dying and Lee jumped away for the moment, I'm really hoping for some good interaction between Kara and Leoben.

Also, I'd just like to note that every day is a defriending amnesty day in my journal. Seriously, I won't hold it against you.
