BSG: Collaborators
This episode had me in tears at the end, practically yelling at the screen that they had better not kill Gaeta when he'd done so much to help them. If Kara hadn't cracked and mentioned the dog bowl, if he'd died because they didn't know that... I'm just glad that she did, that Tyrol heard.
I felt so horrible for Jammer and for the twelve other missing people that Apollo told us about. The Circle may have claimed to have been working in justice but I'm with Roslin -- no due process? No defense? That's revenge, pure and simple. Don't cover it up in glory, don't pretend that it's something that it isn't.
Roslin was spectacular in this episode. I understood Anders (particularly, his rationale behind wanting Ellen dead and yet also not wanting the Circle to continue -- Ellen was an active threat to the Resistence, had betrayed them once and said that she'd do it again). And Tyrol pulled it out at the end. He was wonderful at the end, in both scenes with Gaeta -- the intensity when he heard 'dog bowl' and then his gesture in the cafeteria.
I continue to severely dislike Cally. She's so self-involved and not in a... she's not epic, you know. She's such a petty person, so emotionally small. A NPC saved her life and she barely remembered it, didn't mention it until someone else brought it up first. That would have been the first thing that I would have told Tyrol when I was safe, if I were her. I don't actually find her an unrealistic character, just a very unpleasant one. With Balter, Ellen, Tigh, and Starbuck, I can like them all despite their faults and through their faults. Cally... meh.
